Like a liquid hug in a bottle

Tulsi basil (occimum sanctum and tenuiflorum), also called Holy Basil, is a revered herb in India and commonly used in the holistic medical system of Ayurveda which is based on health as a balance of mind body spirit. Holy Basil is referred to as the 'Queen of Herbs' and 'elixir of life' for its numerous benefits, but mainly for its ability to aid the body in adapting to both physical and mental stress. It's in the mint family, characterized by a square stem and is classified as an adaptogenic herb.

In a modern world, we're in constant states of elevated activity, job stress, traffic jams,  political unrest, bad news.  It's easy for our nervous systems to get locked into states of chronic stress, or 'fight or flight' mode. We were not meant to carry the burden and awareness of all the troubles of the world, yet we crave the information at our fingertips. Tulsi is a reminder that the earth is our return to stability and simplicity, our mother providing us quiet patient arms and unwavering support, peace and strength in her plant wisdom and trees, where we were meant to rest.

Tulsi contains magnesium and flavonoids that may produce a calming effect and improve cognitive functioning, offering enhanced mental clarity, memory and focus.

A favorite plant on Blue Lotus Ranch, grown organically right here in Kansas, its delightful licorice scent greets me in the flower field daily, reminding me to slow down, be present and take care.

1 oz. amber glass bottle and dropper.

Tinctures are herbs infused in alcohol for weeks and months. Similar to an herbal tea, alcohol is most effective at extracting the highest level of beneficial constituents of the herb. Use daily for two week intervals for best results. Shelf stable for years.
