Sweet hyssop, is a pleasant aromatic herb in the mint family, reminiscent of licorice and symbolic of purification and cleansing. It's a favorite of visiting bees here on the farm.

It's mentioned several times in the Bible as hyssop branches were used to mark the doorways with blood during Passover, and a hyssop branch was used to offer Jesus a sour wine mingled with gall (myrrh) to dull his pain during crucifixion.

Medicinally hyssop fights infection, aids in complaints of the intestines and gas, increases circulation, alleviates parasites and eases many respiratory and throat ailments.

Just a beautiful cleansing herb that clears and cleanses.

A tincture is a strong concentrate of herbs infused in an alcohol menstruum for 6 weeks or more. Similar to a tea, but the alcohol extracts more potently all the beneficial constituents of the herb.
